Yellowstone Trip Day 1

We left for Yellowstone on July 9th at 7am. I was impressed that we left pretty much on time! I was really excited to go and so were the kids! Our first stop was the beginning of the enchanted high way. The Goose sculpture was really cool to see up close! The boys thought it looked so cool! The got to bring cameras along with them and they took some good pictures too. (and some not so good ones!)

The next stop was the scenic view of Theodore National Park. So beautiful!

We are into Montana!

Then after about 2 hours or so we saw our first glimps of the mountains! I was so excited and the kids were excited too! They couldn't believe how big they were!

After this we went to the hotel and got ready to eat supper. We ate at Pizza Hut while it stormed outside. The lightening is so much more fierce there. But it was neat to watch. And it rained like crazy too! We were all pretty tired and knew we had to get up early so we could go into the park.

Marks new toy!

Mark FINALLY bought a new lawn mower. It was taking him 6 plus hours to mow the lawn with his other one, so it was time to get a new one!! And it really works great!! He can get the lawn mowed in about 2 and 1/2 hours!! I am so happy, so now his sundays aren't spent mowing forever!!

He is really excited about it! I am glad!

Swimming Lessons

I only took pictures of Alyssah in swimming lessons this year. I was excited to put her in, she LOVES swimming and I knew she would do great!!

In level one they concentrate on getting wet, kicking and putting your face in the water.


She wasn't afraid to jump in either!

As long as someone was catching her.

She even wasn't afraid to go off the diving board! I was so proud of her!! But she had to be lowered with help and someone had to catch her, but she did great otherwise!!

They were encouraging her to jump, and she kept shaking her head no. But I am glad she is willing to get up on there, that in itself is a fear to some!

Well, Alyssah didn't pass the class, and I wonder why?? :)

Her instructor told me that she isn't putting her face in the water so they wanted to hold her back for next year. I am fine with it! I am proud that she went in anyways!

4th of July

4th of July was fun this year! We did alot of fun things too! We are always busy doing something and I am glad I bring my camera with to capture all the moments!

Alyssah was THRILLED to have her own can of pop. She LOVES to have her own stuff!

Our town has a small pet and doll parade. Josh and Jake walked Ally and Lucy, and Alyssah pushed her doll in her stroller. They were really excited about being in the parade.

After the parade we went in the boat! Which is always fun! (on a sadder note, this is the first year that I don't have someone depending on me in the boat. I feel like this is a whole new era for me! But I am glad too, because I feel like I can enjoy the boat more too!)

Yup you guessed it, this was the only thing we caught!

Then it was time to go watch the fireworks! I am glad we did!
