San Diego Day 4

We got to upgrade to a new room! I was so excited that we had a bay view this time, and I was so excited! Best of all, we got this room upgrade for free! These are our new views!

The building right below us is the convention center. It isn't that old!
I love this view!
Those mountains are considered Mexico.
We went to a mexican restaurant for lunch today! It was spicy and very good!
Fish tacos and burritos! With beans and rice! All very good!
And amazing chips and dip too!
We took a self tour of the USS Midway. It was a very good tour! Very interesting things to learn about in there. We wore ear phones and you could push a number and listen to the description of the item or room.

Where the ancors are stored.
Where the lowest class ranked men slept.

The flight deck had TONS of different planes and helicopters.

The ship as we were leaving.
The ammo on the helicopter.
The view from the top of the ship.
We took a pedi cab ride back to our hotel. It was SO FUN and really neat to be on! I am glad we could go! He was a nice guy too!

We walked to Petco Park, just off of our hotel. It was a beautiful park!
The billboard, Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres.
They turned this old building into extra seating. It was really neat!
Our hotel
Another sunset!
Beautiful colors! I love this shot I took!
A cuise ship going off into the ocean. It was all lit up and looked cool!

San Diego Day 3

On Friday, Mark had meetings all moring, so I got up with him, enjoyed breakfast, then went and hung out with one of my friends. We went to get some coffee and then to an outlet mall to walk around in. We had a lot of fun!The big NBC building, we could see this from our hotel room, so we weren't very far away.
It was really neat, this little outlet mall.

It was stacked up, not in a straight line, it was cool! I didn't buy anything, all the shops there, were things I could buy here. Plus we didn't have the space in our bags either.
There were HUGE checker boards and chess boards too. Some people were playing them too!
After Mark's meeting we met for lunch at Lou and Mickey's, then we hung out by the pool for a few hours. It was SO nice there! I am glad we had that down time!

San Diego Day 2

We went out Whale Watching on Day 2 of our trip. I LOVE watching for whales, so I was excited for this! We went with Mark's boss Bill and his wife Jane. We had a blast!
The Coranado Bridge
We sailed right by the naval base, and a big plane was taking off, it was loud there! We also saw several helicopters and naval ships too.

My first time on a sail boat! I was really excited! The weather was warm, about 75* and not very windy at all! Perfect weather for sailing!
The coast was smoggy :/ that was they only downside to San Diego!
A really cool sailboat!
The whales tail!! I love how it looks!
Whales and dolphins! So amazing!!
2 whales blowing out the water, we followed them for a mile or so. It was peaceful and quiet out there, we could even hear them blow out the water!
Tijuana, Mexico
On the buoy, a bunch of seals!
The San Diego skyline! Beautiful!
Mark, me, Jane and Bill

We sailed until sunset, it was a beautful day!
So beautiful!!

San Diego Day 1

We were went to San Diego! I am glad we got to go, it was fun!We got to our hotel by 10 am, so we had the whole day to do whatever :)
Our view from the hotel, wasn't the greatest, but it didn't matter. We were in San Diego!
Our parking garage view :/
Off to the side, if you look inbetween the buildings, you can see the bay, barely!
Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres
Our hotel was right next to the Gas Lamp Quarters, a very old part of town.
Palm trees, and our favorite restaurant Lou and Mickeys. We were told when President Clinton comes to town, this is his favorite place to eat.

The trolleys went right by our hotel.
Our hotel, The Omni Hotel.
We took a nap and then we got ready to go to Mark's work social and dinner. We met with some of our friends afterwards. We had a great time! We figured, from the time we got up, until we went to bed (and with the time changes) we were up 23 1/2 hours! We were tired!!
