I can't sleep

My head hurts, and unfortunatly I took excedrine migraine, like an hour ago, didn't take out my headache, and now I am fully awake. Of course. At least it is friday, and tomorrow I am going shopping with Nicole, Skyla, Berkley and Alyssah. I am excited to go. It should be so much fun!

I have been keeping track of Josh and Jacob's grades at school. They are doing very well!! Josh could improve in math, and Jake could impove in reading. He has gotten so much better since the beginning of the year, but still can improve. Josh's math grade could be better, I am somewhat disappointed in him, because he knows math, he just isn't applying himself. Plus he has been hiding his homework in his desk because he didn't want to have homework. I am mad at him, for doing that. I have talked to his teacher, and she feels so bad! She is blaming herself, and that isn't right. So we are working hard at bringing home his work. Plus we have gotten off our goal of doing 4 reading counts points a week. I am going to really crack down on him so he can get to his goal every week. I am proud that his grades are good, but there is definately room for improvement. Jake's issue is just learning his sight words, and starting to read faster. I am proud of the accomplishments he has done, so I know we will get there. He is definately way different than Josh. I am so glad. Josh is hard for me to work with daily. He complains all the time and it really wears on my nerves. It is something that I have to continually work on ALL THE TIME. But it is a learning experience for both of us. I hope to learn alot too. And when we have a good day, and mostly there are good days, I feel so accomplished. And Jake got a math award in school! I am so proud of him! Mark and I both went, so we could see him!

I guess I am getting tired some, I want to sleep, I hope I can. I am looking forward to going shopping tomorrow!!

Josh's summer job

Josh had his first summer job this past summer. He LOVES it too! Everyday he would ask us if he could mow someones lawn. He made some good money at it too!
Josh put a lot of pride in his work, he did a good job and he didn't mind being told to redo an area if he had too. He was proud of himself.

I bet next year he will have tons of mowing jobs!

Alyssah reading me a book

Alyssah loves it when we read books in her bed before bedtime. She is so into princesses! She wanted to read to me before I read a story so I let her. She would go from page to page, and say something about each picture. This took about 10 minutes to do. But it was worth it, she was so proud of herself when she was done. I love that she wants to tell me storys too. She is so sweet!

Aladdin is one of her favorites.

And of course Sleeping Beauty too!

Alysssah in chains

One day, not so long ago, little Alyssah was supposed to be taking a nap. And Alyssah has perfected being super quiet when its naptime she can play without being heard, even when her mommy listens right by her door. Well this poor little one started wimpering. She never cries so her mommy went to go see what was wrong. When her mommy walked into the room she was surprised to see what she had gotten herself into. She had found her brothers handcuffs and cuffed them to her ankles. The silly little girl! She didn't know how to get them off either, hence the crying. Well Alyssah's mommy started laughing and had to go get the camera. Alyssah wasn't happy that mommy was taking pictures and not getting the stupid handcuffs off. Well when mommy was done taking pics she finally took them off, and worst part of all was that Alyssah still had to take a nap. This made her cry even more. Oh the joys and hardships of growing up.

Isn't this funny?!

Ally and Lucy

We love our puppies so much!! Ally is getting so old, she is 11 now. But when we adopted Lucy it worked out so nicely! Ally and Lucy are the best of buds and we are confident that bringing Lucy here we added a few years to Ally. She has so much more pep to her step! We love our girls so much!

If we are petting one, we are petting the other one too. Can't leave anyone out!

Lucy is so cute!! She is 2 years old now.

Jakes Birthday Party

We had Jakes Birthday party about 3 weeks after his real birthday, we just started school and labor day and all that fun stuff is around that time so we put it off for a couple of weeks. Jake wanted a hunting theme. Go figure! This boy will be our hunting expert when he is older!
Jake is 7! His cake turned out super cute! I love the hunting idea, and he loved the figures too!

I love his cake!

The kids played some hunting games. One game was to find the targets. We hid 30 targets or so and whoever found the highest got a prize. They were so wild by this time!! Then after that we played a shooting game where they hit animal targets and we kept a tally of there points. Whoever had the highest got a prize. This game was a hit! They loved it! We played it 2 different times during the party.

Jacob going for the ground target. He was a pretty good shot too!

All the kids did really well! They all had so much fun!

We also played pass the target to music. Similar to pass the potato or musical chairs. The kids like this one, and were excited to get a prize too!

" Hurry and pass it or you are out!"

Then of course it was cake time! Jake is so cute here, he loves to be the center of attention. He had so much with all his friends here! I really like this picture. He still looks so young, but getting so big.

My seven year old!

Blowing out the candles.

Jake wanted the biggest piece of cake! He wanted one that had a lot of hunting stuff on it.

Being his silly self!

All the kids loved the cake!

Even little girls loved the hunting cake!

Skyla too!

Time for presents!! Jake was so excited about this part! He made out pretty well too!

I love him so much!
