Kite Festival

This year the kite festival was really fun. It was sunny out and not too cool. I really was excited to go, the kids were really excited! Mark bought a new kite to fly in the sky! He has been thinking about it for a few years now, and he finally took the plunge! I am glad he did!

These ones just fill up with air, and float around the ground. They are really neat!

And my favorite girl! She loves to fly her kite, for a little while anyways! She would hand off her kite to me! And I didn't want to fly her kite. Oh well, she was so happy to be here!

Dad flying his trick kite, Jake loved it! He would help fly it. To get it going you have to have someone standing with the kite, and has to throw it up when the flyer is ready. So Jake had his dad say "fire" when he was ready. So cute!!

Alyssah was bored, so she went exploring. So fun!

Campfire!

We had our first campfire of the year on May 28th. The kids had begged all day, and dad finally gave in! They were so excited! We roasted huge marshmellows too. It was fun!

The fire, it was blowing some, and the smoke would go into our eyes.

Jake didn't like the smoke going into his face. He turned his chair around and thought it would be a great idea if we all did that!

When it wasn't too smoky for him, he would sit up.

Alyssah didn't care for the smoke either, and pretty soon she was ready for bed.

Ally and Lucy

I thought it was time for your puppy fix! Ally and Lucy are loving summer, now that they can be outside more! They love it! Mark takes them on his walks sometimes and we were worried about Ally and how she would do, but she does great! And she loves it.

Ally, our old girl. She will be 12 years old in July. I love her so much, she is so calm and loving to everyone. She still barks at bigger cars, and just the other day, she was barking at an ambulance! HAHA! She is our first "child" I love her so much!

Yard Work

I know I had more pictures of the boys doing yard work, but I can't find them. I am sure I will as soon as I am done, but I wanted to show the kids working hard with Mark in the yard. Mark bought Josh and Jake a lawn mower to help out around the yard, and the boys do a bunch of yards that they are paid to take care of. They LOVE doing yard work with there dad! I am glad, they love to get paid for it, and they think they are pretty big doing this! I am proud of my hard workers!
