First Day of School!

The kids all started school on August 24th, 2010. They all woke up really excited to go, and I am so glad too! They are a whole year older and I can't believe it!! I am so glad they are ready, because I know I am ready too! I have 13 kids to watch in the summer and when school starts, it is so nice to cut back. I am not so ready for homework though, but we will get through it.
All three ready to go!

Jake's Homemade Bow

Jake is so proud of his homemade bow and arrow. He made it with a lot of work! He had to buy a flashlight to put on it, and use it more like a scope than anything. I love his creativity!

Jake wanted to have his brother and dad in the picture too.

More Alyssah Fashions

Seriously, this girl cracks me up! I love her so much and seeing what she is going to wear everyday is so fun! I don't say anything unless it is school time or church. Otherwise she is free to wear what she wants too!

She loves these boots so much. (we got them at the fair last year from a lady who's daughter was too big for them. She just gave them to us. It was so nice!!)

So funny!
So cute!
And I love her so much!

The Zoo

August 14th we decided to go to the zoo with the kids. It was kinda raining and cloudy the whole time, but it was still alot of fun. We went to the Bismarck zoo. We usually take turns going to the Minot zoo and the Bismarck zoo, since we are pretty much right in the middle. The kids had a blast and I am glad!

The first thing we did was feed the goats. As soon as you turn the handle the goats all come running. They LOVE to eat the corn that they have there. Alyssah was a little nervous at first, but she didn't mind once she did it!

Josh feeding the goat.

Prairie Dogs, the kids loved looking at them through the peek holes.

My amazing kids

This owl was following Jake as he was running back and forth. I think the owl thought he would make a good lunch!!

The grey wolves. They look so skinny, but I suppose because of summer.

The tiger exhibit. This was really cool! There were 3 different cats in there. A white bangel tiger, a normal looking tiger and a Tabby Tiger. I had never heard of a Tabby Tiger before, it is really pretty! This cat was on top of an obseratory window. It looked really cool to see it from the bottom!

Very pretty!

They are so big! This one walked right by the window.

This is the tabby tiger. Very pretty!

Next of course were the bears. They were both very sleepy!

Alyssah

Josh, the hat kills me!!

Jake

These birds were talking to us! We would say hello and they would too! It was awesome!

Alyssah and Daddy

The otters were really active this day

Then we took a train around the outside of the park. There are alot of animals to see, all woodland kinds. Like moose, elk, buffalo, horses, and even some texas long horns. Of course we had to have a snack on the train! So cotton candy it was!

Alyssah was excited!

And she loved it!

So did Jake!

Waiting to go!

My handsome boys

She loved the train ride!

So did the boys!

Jake through the years

Can I cry now? I can't believe my second born son is 8 already! Where on earth has the time gone? He is so big now, in 2nd grade and its crazy how fast they grow. Why does childhood have to go by so fast? I mean what is the rush??
So these pictures are Jake through the 8 years! He has changed so much! But he still is so cute! I can't believe how fast this kid has grown! :(
