Medora Day Three

Today was another good day! We all slept in!! My kids were tired from the day before and we all slept great!! We were ready for the day!

We stopped at the playground because Alyssah wanted to play, Josh and Jake were kinda bored there but Alyssah had fun!

She LOVED the tire swing!

This park is about 10 years old, we brought Josh here when he was 2, and it was brand new then!

We toured the parks today! It is so beautiful here!! I loved it!!

We saw a ton of wild horses! They were so cool to see!

After the first park, we came back to town, ate at a pizza parlor and then did a little shopping.

Alyssah wanted a cowgirl hat, just like the lady from the musical. She was so proud!

Then! We saw a horse, and had to ride on it!! She's so cute!

We went 60 miles to the north unit of the park, only to find out that you could only go in 6 miles because the road was closed. So a waste of time. Except, while we were out taking pictures of some cool rocks, 2 BIG, HUGE bison come walking up! We (Josh Alyssah and I) ran back to the pickup and took pictures of it!! (the pic above is not the one) They were moving slow and didn't care about anything else.

We came back through the south unit, we knew a ton of animals probably would be out, it was about 7 at this point. And we were right!! We saw bison, elk, and deer!! Alot of them! I took a bunch with my camera.

We went to the same pizza parlor for supper, it was the only place open. But it was still good!

After that we went swimming (the kids did) and then went to bed.

Today was a good day!!

Medora Day 2

Our 2nd day in Medora was a lot of fun! We started the day by going mini golfing. It was fun. This was Jake and Alyssahs first times going.

Waiting to putt the ball.

After that we took a fun stage coach ride. It was about 30 minutes long. We had fun on it. Mark and the boys.

Alyssah and I.

We toured Chateau de Mores. This is Medora's house.

We went to eat after that, we ate at a little burger stand. The kids got sasparilla. They really liked it!

We then did some shopping, and we found this shooting gallery, that the boys had fun shooting at.

Even Alyssah got into it!

We decided to go rest before our big night of the musical. Then we went to the pitch fork fondue and ate. It was pretty good!

A man offered to take our picture while we were in line and we were excited too. Of course my hair had to be all crazy!

We did a little shopping in the gift shop and then sat and waited for the show to start. Alyssah was excited!

Josh waiting.

Jake waiting too :)

Alyssah went in stage when they had a short kids program. She got this little kaleidoscope for going up.

Then the musical. It was great!

Alyssah LOVED the dancers and singers!

She loved meeting them and getting her picture taken too. She loved it!

Medora Day 1

We started off on our family trip this morning!! We had so much fun today, we first stopped at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. It was really cool in there, a museum, telling about there adventures on there expedition.

The kids in front of the place with the big statues. After that we went to Knife River Indian Reservation. I didn't take any pictures with my phone, but I did with my camera.

We then went to the Dinosaur Museum in Dickinson. We liked that there.

This is a real T-Rex leg and foot bone that was 120 pounds!! Huge!!

My 3 cuties. (who fought a HUGE chunk of the way to Medora)

Jake wanted to pretend to be being eaten!! Haha!!

Josh's turn!

Then we back tracked about 10 miles to do the enchanted highway. It was pretty cool! 8 different sculptures. All made of metal. I guess they are the worlds largest metal sculptures.

Then on to Medora!!

The kids in front of the badlands.

And swimming!! THE BEST PART!! Tomorrow should be fun too!!

She got her ears pierced!

She wanted to do it. When she turned 6, I gave her the choice of when she wanted to do it and this day was the day!! I was so proud of her, she was soooo brave!!

She climbed right up and got ready to go!

A little smile before the pinch.

Then the pinch...

Other ear, not sure if she knew what she was getting herself into...

ALL DONE!!

She did great! No tears, no regrets!

My happy, proud girl!! I love them and I'm excited to buy her some cute earrings soon!
