So Thankful #30

I am so thankful for our tree!  I am glad I have kids who love to decorate it too.  I didn't know the tree had a christan meaning behind it, and it is really cool!

About the year 1500, Martin Luther, inspired by a snow covered fir tree, brought a small tree indoors and decorated it with candles in honor of Christ’s birth. By the 18th century, the custom of decorating a Christmas tree was well established in France, Germany, and Austria. Thus, the Christmas tree represents the original Tree of Paradise, the burning bush which spoke to Moses, the branch of Jesse from which Jesus was born, the life-giving tree of the cross of Christ, and the tree which St. John the Apostle saw in the Book of Revelations whose leaves have medicine for the people and which yields fruit each month for the healing of the nations. Because it is green year-round, the evergreen tree represents hope. Its needles and its narrow crest point upward, turning our thoughts to heaven. Because the tree is cut down and then erected again, it is a symbol of Christ’s resurrection.

So Thankful #27

I am thankful that I found an online bible study course to take!  All it took was me buying a book, and I could download it on my nook, so that was a plus!!  I am super excited about it, and I hope God can use me and change my heart! :)

So Thankful #15

I am super thankful for all the trips we have been on in the last 5-6 years!  It has been fun to travel, with my kids and without.  I feel blessed!

2008~ Orlando and then a cruise!  This trip was a 9 day adventure!  A little too long to be away from my kids, but it was a lot of fun!

2009~ Miami for a few days, then we took a 4 day cruise!  SO much fun!  Only a week away this time!

2010~ Orlando with the kids!  This was one of the best trips!  It was great to travel with the kids! They did great traveling too!

Mark and I also took a trip to Las Vegas!  I loved it there, we had a great 4 day getaway!

We took the kids to Yellowstone for 4 days!  It was great showing the kids the beautiful scenery.  They did great then too!  I love taking my kids places!

2011~ Mark and I went to Puerto Vallarta!  BEST TRIP EVER!  I can't wait to go back and spend time with him!

Mark surprised me with a trip to New York City!  I had the best time, and we had so much fun touring the city!  I can't wait to go back again someday!

We took the kids to Washington DC!!  This was another VERY good trip!  I am glad we could show them some great history and this was a great learning trip for them!  I know someday we can go back there and have just as much fun!

2012~ Mark and I went to San Diego, this was my first time to California.  I had fun there, the zoo and whale watching were the highlights of the trip.

Mark and I went to Washington DC for a few days! We went when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom!  It was beautiful!

We took the kids on a very simple trip to Medora!  It was another really fun trip!  I am so glad we did it!

I am thankful that we can take trips!

Halloween 2012

These are the Halloween pictures!  The kids were pretty excited!  Josh didn't go this year, he stayed home to hand out candy.  His job wasn't too hard, he had only 2 trick or treaters!

Molly even dressed up! She was a butterfly!  (she hated the costume lol)

The kids!  Josh wanted the sweatshirt with a hoodie as a skeleton!  Jake was a hunter again and Alyssah OF COURSE was a princess!  She was the most excited to go!

Josh

Jake

Beautiful Rupunzel, I mean Alyssah!

She was SO excited to be Rupunzel this year, she had her all picked out on halloween last year!

Alyssah and her besties!  She was happy to hang out with them!

She won some vampire teeth and wanted to wear them for a picture!  She is so funny!

Kenzy, Alyssah and Morgan, 2 of her best friends!

Hunter Jake!

Playing games!

Out to get treats!  They were super excited!  We all were super cold!
