Merry Christmas

We had an awesome christmas. The kids all had a great christmas, I believe the kids still believe in Santa, so we did our job. We did tell the kids about Jesus's birthday too, so they hopefully understand this too. Alyssah was so fun opening up gifts. She wouldn't tear into them like the other kids did, she slowly ripped the package apart v-e-r-y - s-l-o-w-l-y. But she would be excited for every package she opened. I got a very special gift from Mark, a beautiful necklace, I believe it is called a journey necklace. I love it sooooo much! He has made this Christmas soooooooo special!
The boys loved getting the wii and have been playing games as much as possible! I love my family and feel so greatly blessed to have another really good Christmas!

The Tooth Fairy Visits!

Jake lost his tooth at church on Sunday December 21st. He was so excited!! He wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy, and asked if it was a boy or a girl. And what he/she does with the teeth. Jake's Tooth Fairy is a girl, and she is 8 inches big. She takes the teeth to God and he then cleans them and gives them back to new little babies. He is so excited! Plus he got $5!! That first tooth lost is so important!

Outfits

I have been going crazy on Gymboree.com buying clothes for Alyssah! They had a deal for 25% off of everything and free shipping. It is great!! I think I bought one of each outfit! Ok not that bad, I plan on wrapping some of it up for her. She loves her clothes, so she will be excited. I have so much fun dressing her. I have to do this now, while she is small, when she is bigger she won't want to wear the stuff I buy her. She is soooooo much fun!!

Winter weather

We have had some winter weather this weekend. All things were cancelled everywhere in the state. They are saying we got about 12 inches of snow or so. And it is MAJORLY COLD too! Right now we are -18 below. And the windchills have got to be around 35-40 below. That is VERY COLD!!!

Trimming the tree!

We put up our tree on Sunday Nov. 30th. The kids were very excited to do it, I wasn't so much. But we did and I got some cute pictures too.

Jake was so excited for us to start. When I said we were going to start he started getting all the branches out and together in the right spots.
Alyssah believed that the ornament box is her new toybox. To this day she will take them off and play with them. She loves it!

Alyssah and Jake finding the best ornaments to get ready for the tree.

Lights are up, (I hate that part) and Josh is ready to put on the first ornament.

Here is Jakes onrament that he put on. He was so happy this day!

Alyssah made them into a group on her one and only branch. She wouldn't put them anywhere else.
The finished tree!

The kids in front of the tree. They were happy to help us!

Santa

The kids were excited to sit on Santa's lap this year. Josh is still wondering if he is real, so we are really playing it up. I just am not ready to let him know that Santa isn't real. He sort of believes now, so I am happy with that. He did ask Santa for a wii! I am happy that we got one, hopefully helping him out this year. I have a feeling that this is his last year of believing. At least one good thing about that is, we can concentrate on what christmas is really about. I am so glad that we have 2 other kids that still believe and hopefully for a few more years will.
I get sad thinking about the time he was 4 and it was about 7am christmas morning when he climbed into bed with us. He was excited, but nobody else was up yet, so we waited for a while. About 15 minutes later, my mom got up, we could hear her upstairs getting ready and walking around. Josh's little head popped up and he said so excitedly, "Maybe that is Santa!" My heart melted, it was so innocent and sweet. I said, "Maybe, but I think it might be grandma." He said, "Yeah, Santa comes when you are sleeping." I remember that christmas so clearly. He was so little. And he really was into christmas too. Every gift he got was so amazing to him. I am so sad that he has grown up so much. Where on earth does the time go.
Alyssah sat on his lap, but at first she was really worried that we were going to leave. We stayed there, and then she was ok. I love this picture. They all look so good.

Thanksgiving

We were excited to go to my mom's for Thanksgiving. The kids were very happy to go. I love going and seeing my family, my grandparents were happy to see all of us.
My grandparents on Thankgiving. They were happy and excited to see us. We are all waiting to eat my mom's awesome meal!

Alyssah and her new pose. She loves to pose for us now. She is showing us her lips. She is so adorable here!

Me waiting to eat too. I love Thanksgiving. I love the food, but mostly I love to hang out with my family.
Mark and Josh also waiting to eat. Josh wasn't happy about the food. He doesn't like anything that is good or good for you. ;)

Jake was excited to eat, he is a better eater than his brother. Grandpa Dave got him a big pop and he was excited to get the green kind. He feels so big!

Josh and Jake breaking the wish bone. My sister and I used to break the wishbone every year. I hope to start this tradition with the boys.

Having made there wish, they are ready to go!

And we have never seen this before, the wish bone broke right in the middle! They were very happy about it!!
