Jake's Birthday Party

We had Jake's birthday party on Sept. 11th. With school starting, the beach party here and labor day, it was the best weekend for it. He had a blast and he LOVED his theme. He picked a fishing theme this year. We just decided to have a pizza party, and because it was so nice out, they played outside. They all had a great time!

The decorations. We didn't go all out, birthday parties are so expensive nowadays!!

His cake. We put on a real lure! He was SO EXCITED about that!

Waiting for the party to start!

8 years old!!

Enjoying the pizza at the party! We had quite a few kids here!

Miss Berkley loved the pizza too! :)

And the present part! He was pretty excited!

Awesome gift!

He ended up making $50 at his party! He was really happy about that!!

All the kids!

Waiting for the cake! Crazy, happy kids!!

Cute cake, 8 candles!

I hope all his wishes come true! Happy Birthday buddy!!

Fishing

This time fishing was really productive! Jake and Dad caught 3 fish! I was excited for them, and they were beyond excited!! It was a super nice day to go too!

Alyssah playing with Barbies. Of course that is what you do in a boat!

Relaxing before the big catch!

This was Jake's rod. Jake couldn't pull the fish in, it was fighting like crazy!!

It's not that far away!

Jake was so proud!! Dad was excited too!

Jake and his fish! He was really excited, he told dad to use some old goop, and Dad thought it wouldn't work, but it did!!

Here it is! He won't let dad forget it either!!

Then the second fish!

And the 3rd!! They caught all of these all within 30-45 mins. Jake was still proud that he told dad to use that old goop!!

Josh helping Dad hold the fish.

All the boys!

Mark's 2 fish.

The 3 salmon. The biggest was over 9 pounds, the middle almost 9 pounds and the smallest around 7 1/2 pounds.

Jakes Airplane

Jake spent his own money and got an remote control airplane. He was so excited too! Josh and Dad were just about as excited as Jake was.

Lucky boy!

All of them holding the airplane in the box.

He COULD NOT wait until he could fly it!

Jake all ready to fly it! Dad has to control it until they could figure it all out.

Jake getting it after it crashed

Its flying in the sky! And ultimately it crashed and even broke. Dad had to buy (online) more pieces to fix it and they had to wait again to fly it! It was a little too windy today to fly it!

Alyssah's wedding dress

Alyssah is so very adamant that she is going to marry her dad. She says we will share him when she gets older. I LOVE this about her! She loves her dad so very much! They have a special connection that I really hope never goes away. I love watching her and Mark together. It melts/warms my heart!
One day before church I snapped a few pictures of her. She LOVES this dress so much, and she wants this to be her wedding dress. After church she was still talking about it, and I said to her, that she will grow and then she asked about my wedding dress. I showed her my pictures from my wedding and she was so smitten by it! She wanted to see the real dress, so I showed it to her from inside the box. Her eyes got all big and she said. "I am going to wear your wedding dress when I get married to my dad." My heart melted! I would be so honored if she did wear it, even if she tore it apart and only kept some part of it, I would be honored. I love her so much! I am so lucky to have been blessed to have a beautiful "girly" daughter!

My girl is so beautiful! :)
