Vegas Day 2

The second day after we had a good hour walk, we went and got ready for lunch and sight seeing. We ate at a mexican restaurant called Cabo Wabo Cantina. It was really good! And not too pricy either. I got a pina colada drink, but it was too strong for me, so I mostly drank water that time. Then we went walking some more. It was so very nice out! It must have been around 80 out. I love nice weather!!

On our way out to eat!

The Eiffel Tower. The tower is half scale of the real thing. It is huge, I can't imagine how big the real thing is!!

In front of the Paris Hotel

Harley Davidson cafe

New York hotel. It had a real roller coaster in it.

Part of the MGM Hotel. I guess there are real lions in there. I wanted to see them, but there is just so much to see there, it is impossible to see it all.

A view of the mountains and traffic. So much traffic all the time!!

A closer view. They were so beautiful!

Looking north, I think at the strip

The Excalabur Hotel

Inside the Luxor Hotel, was the Titanic Artifact Exhibition. We weren't allowed to take pictures in there. But it was so awesome! So worth the $15 each.

We saw the Broadway Show Jersey Boys. It was AMAZING!! I loved every minute of it! It is about how Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons came about. So very good! I would go see it again in a heart beat!

After the show we ate at an AMAZING french restaurant. It was VERY expensive, just for the steak, and only the steak, $50!! Plus $10 for the side. And Mark and I shared some creme brulee. The food was sooooooooo good!! We ate in the Eiffel tower restaurant. It was very good, and we almost didn't get to go in, there was a dress code!! I had flip flops on, and Mark had shorts on. He had to change and we had to get permission for me to go in! But it was worth it!
They had pants for mark to wear, and he wore it with tennis shoes. Ummm, yeah, he looked better in the shorts. But rules are rules. After we were done, over at the Belagio Hotel had a water fountain show, so we watched it. It was very nice!
Same picture and I am not deleting it.

Very pretty!

Shops inside the Paris Hotel. It was very nice in there!

This was a glass celing. It was so pretty! I love all the scenery here!

A big slot machine! Funny!!
Day two was so fun! Tomorrow should be too! I loved seeing everything we did! I can't wait until tomorrow we are going to walk the other way and tour it. I love this town!! After we got back to the hotel we went to bed. We were tired from all the walking there! Plus full from the meal!

Las Vegas Day 1

We went to Las Vegas March 25th. We were supposed to leave at 12:05pm, but after we all got on the plane, there were some engine troubles. Not major ones, but they couldn't fly the plane anyways, so we had to all get off and wait. We ended up waiting about 4 hours before we could actually go. I was glad we didn't have to wait on the plane while they fixed it, so that was nice. I read a book and listened to my ipod. Mark got some work done.

Us waiting for the plane to get fixed. We are happy to be able to get away.

The engine open!!

I was a little nervous when they closed it up and said it was ok to go back on. They had even flown another plane from Las Vegas to Bismarck, and they turned it around when it was about 200 miles out of Bismarck. So we all piled back on the plane and took off for Vegas! It was a good smooth flight and I wasn't nervous at all during the flight. It was pretty cloudy out, so we didn't see much until we were pretty much over Vegas. We were supposed to be in Vegas by 1pm, but we didn't get there until 5:45 so it we missed a few hours there, but it was all good, we were just happy they didn't cancel our flight.

A view from our room

Another view

I love the mountain in the back ground. It was so pretty!

Our room

Our hotel at night.

Bally's Hotel had a real show girls show Jubilee. We went to it, and it wasn't that good. We weren't that impressed with it. I kinda wished we wouldn't have seen it, but then if we hadn't then I would have wondered what it was like.

So many lights!!

We met up with a few co workers of Marks, and we hung out with them. I ended up with 3 HUGE blisters on my feet. I wore some really bad shoes!! I was worried that it would dampen our walking the rest of the weekend, but it was fine, as long as I had bandaids on.

Lots of lights! I loved it!

I love the view! I could look at it forever!

The Eiffel tower. It was so awesome all lit up!

The entrance into our hotel. It was all lit up and sometimes would change colors too!

The casino, there were a bunch of people there too. And it was smoky, so it wasn't fun to be in there, but it was neat to see all the slot machines. We only gambled once and we came out ahead 20 dollars! So we were happy about that!!
We ate at a small bar in the hotel that night, we shared a burger and a big plate of nachos. It was so good!! And it only cost us $20 to eat. We then met up with Mark's co workers and walked around for a while. We watched a volcano show, with lights water and a little bit of fire too. Then we walked back towards our hotel, I changed my shoes, and then met some friends for a few drinks. Then we went to bed, it was 2am our time, midnight there. So we were tired!

Las Vegas

Was so much fun! I feel so lucky to be able to go on these trips! I am thankful I have a hard working husband who can take us places!

We had a lot of fun in Vegas. I have about 400 pictures so I will be going through them today to get up here. The scenery there was spectacular! I LOVED the mountains in the back ground, it was beautiful!

So be on the lookout for pictures today, it shouldn't take me too long to get them up!

Winter Scenery

Mark has been trying to find a hobby and he has started to take pictures. He is pretty good at it too! I am glad he took some pictures of the winter scenery here in Garrison, it is a good memory of how much snow we have had this year and also beautiful it can be.

Our Garrison Walleye. This is a nice picture of it with all the frost from the fog.

The state park is a good place to take winter pictures. There are wild life tracks everywhere here, it is hard to see them, if you click on the pictures they will get bigger.

One of my favorites

A view of the lake, another one of my favorites.

I like the close up of the tree, and how you can see the background as well.

The fog has been so thick here lately, but it is really beautiful when it clears.
